5th Ave Urban Infill
Project Details
Architect used Fink truss design to create these two new 4500 sq ft warm vanilla CMU block buildings built concurrently under two permits. This urban infill project has become the Snooze Eatery and DBar restaurant. Built with floor to ceiling east facing roll-up windows, two story interior ceiling, skylights and a distinctive fink truss. Exterior dining space is provided by the building setback and fenced sidewalk frontage. With generous natural light, this signature space is rife with architectural details prompting ownership to call this “the best design for Snooze yet” and creative reference to “a breakfast cathedral”. The project won the 2012 Orchid Award for San Diego.
